Nick and Porter sit down and hang out with two of the greats while visiting NYC for the New York Adorned party. This one has a long, explanatory intro to fill you in, so here's all you need to know about this episode: Mike Rubendall - Chris O'Donnell. Boom.

Andrew jumps in for the Shop Talk, of course. Hell yeah.

Jul 3, 2018

Bill Stevenson, known by most as Bill Waverly, of Waverly Color Company sits down and talks about how it all got started and together with longtime friend Morgan Pennypacker, tells some great stories along the way with Nick throwin' in some classics as well.

Stick around for a long Shop Talk after a long episode as Chris Porter and Andrew Conner keep Nick company and describe some killer tattoos. Hell yeah.

Jun 26, 2018

Longtime friend of Nick and husband to Miss Erma, Uncle Dave tells all kinds o' killer stories datin' back to the seventies and giving you a taste of what it's like to be a super genius friend of Nick Swartz talkin' all kinds o' bullshit. This one is just fun and enjoyable, like hanging out with these two great friends.

Porter and Andrew come in with a killer Shop Talk on this episode and talk all that shit with each other as they discuss some amazing tattoos with Nick.

Jun 19, 2018

Josh Fracker is an artist out of Tennessee celebrating ten years of tattooing by traveling around to a bunch of different shops. While at Alley Cat, he hangs out with the entire crew of No Lies regulars and talks shop with Nick, Porter and Andrew. It's great fun, for sure.

Shop Talk rounds things out for the week. Enjoy.

Jun 12, 2018

Nick chills out with longtime friend Dan Bivins on this episode as they reminisce about the 'Noke and all kinds of bands, shows and awesome tattoo stories. Just a downright enjoyable load o' bullshit. Take it in.

Shop Talk gets weird and wonderful with Nick & Porter without Mr. Conner there to keep 'em in check!

Jun 5, 2018

Steve Gatrost of Acme Ink in Louisville, KY comes to the valley to join Nick and Andrew for some good ol' bullshit. They cover a lot of fun and interesting topics and before you know it, several hours have gone by. This is a fun one!

It's Nick and Porter for the Shop Talk and there's a whole lotta Talk, and a couple of killer tattoos if you make it to the end. Ha - enjoy!

May 29, 2018

Brother Hawk are back in the No Lies studios with Nick to kick back and shoot the shit, and brother: they get it done! This is a fun one with lots of great stories and discussions with the boys from Atlanta.

All the music in this episode is by the Bro-Hawks and the Shop Talk is by Mr. Chris Porter and professor Andrew Conner, led by the estimable Nicholas Swartz. Enjoy the fuck out of it all!

May 22, 2018

We've all heard of the Berenstain Bears. Great children's books and even an animated series. Well, Stan and Jan, the creator's are Sam Berenstain's grandparents and it's one of the things he talks about with Nick. Sam is also a farmer who is starting up a new business and has great stories about how he got involved. There's even still some tattoo talk.

I just want to throw out there that the goofy conspiracy thing that is discussed in this episode is called the 'Mandela Effect' and Sam's family is unfortunately wrapped up in this current fad. A quick bit of research shows that this is just an internet sensation of people sharing incorrect memories, but there are a lot of folks who choose to believe instead that people are surfing between dimensions and realities where shit is spelled different. Whatever! Enjoy the discussion, enjoy the Shop Talk and keep listenin' to some kickass bullshit!

May 15, 2018

This one is super chill and fun. End of Saturday at Rochester and Timothy Hoyer shows up to shoot shit and tell stories with Andrew Conner. He's even got his dog with him, but he doesn't say much. Steve-O is hangin' out for a good portion of the episode as well and you get to listen in on four friends hanging out talking about tattoos and art and just teachin' you how to live your life to its fullest.

Then buckle up your seatbelt and hold on as you enter the Shop Talk with Mr. Conner, Nick and Porter. Good stuff. Enjoy!

May 8, 2018

Another killer episode recorded at the Roc City Convention in Rochester, NY. This time Nick is joined by Jason Kelly from Live Free Tattoo down in Atlanta, GA. Jason tells all kinds o' good stories and shoots the shit with Nick and also with Mr. Jay Smalley who adds his perspective throughout. Great stuff here, and the reason we travel to meet all these great people.

Shop Talk closes things out, as usual, so enjoy!

May 1, 2018

Mr. J.R. Maloney of Vanguard Tattoo in Nyack, NY comes by the room at the Rochester Convention and lays down an absolutely amazing tattooing podcast with Nick. This is where it's at, folks. Good god damn stories about coming up and perserverance and meetin' people and all that. It's a hell of a couple hours of great stories.

After you enjoy the hell outta J.R. then sit right back and listen to a tale of killer tats in this week's Shop Talk with Nick, Porter and Andrew!

Apr 24, 2018

On his second appearance on NLJBS, Andy Sherman comes in with an update on his art and some long talks with Nick about the scene, friends and music.

This one ends abruptly since Nick ran out of batteries on the recording device and didn't notice! You don't miss anything that can't be covered in one o' Nick's intros down the road. Enjoy!

Apr 17, 2018

Prepare for something, y'all. I'm not sure what, but Nick and Porter are throwing back a few and coming at ya from all angles and all different types of memories with some stories that get shaken up and thrown out all over the place. The boys have a blast with this one, and you will too. And of course, things continue with another great edition of Shop Talk. Get your fill of Chris Porter and Nick Swartz this week with just a dash of Andrew Conner.

Apr 10, 2018

The guys from Old Heavy Hands are back on the podcast after appearing on episodes 39 and 40 last year. This time they left Crowfoot behind and brought a couple dudes with 'em from Brother Hawk. We got some great stories, killer tunes and talk of new albums and shit. Enjoy!

Don't y'all forget to stick around and get loose with Shop Talk featuring Nick, Andrew and Porter, too.

Apr 3, 2018

Dave Cavalcante is back and it's a long one, so I'll keep this short. Nick finds out a lot of history as Dave's career evolves over several hours.

Shop Talk is special, too as Andrew returns to join Porter & Nick in a long discussion of Inksmith & Rogers tattoos.

Mar 27, 2018

Hard rockin' legend Scott H Biram stops by and shoots the shit with Nick at the No Lies Just Bullshit Studios in the big little city of Harrisonburg, home of Alley Cat Tattoo. He brings a few friends from the Hooten Hollers who he's touring with.

After a show downtown at the Golden Pony, Scott brings his guitar to the bullshit session and premiers a brand new song on the podcast for your listening pleasure. So enjoy the hell outta this one and one more Shop Talk from just the laughing duo of Nick and Porter.

Mar 20, 2018

Steve comes from Philly back in the day, plugging this episode right in with Jason Goldberg and Eric Perfect. We get to hear a lot of that Philly back story and a lot more as Steve talks to Nick about his history before ending up in Chesapeake at Electromagnetic Tattooing.

Shop Talk finds Andrew missing and the insane results that ensue!

Shop talk kicks your ass with some dragons, too. No bullshit. No LIES.

Mar 6, 2018

Philadelphia tattoo artist Eric Perfect talks about some crazy history in the city of brotherly love and the evolution of his career and Kadillac Tattoo, known all over the world. The conversation flows smoothly and the stories are wild. Don't miss this bullshit.

Porter and Conner are back for another Shop Talk with your host, Nick Swartz. Stop tellin' everyone how bad that tattoo was that you saw on the internet and praise some great art with these fellas instead!

Feb 27, 2018

Kylie Greene from Only You Tattoo down in Atlanta, Georgia came up to Ol' Virginny to get tattooed, do some tattoos and shoot the shit with Nick. The bullshit, that is. No lies.

Shop Talk with your boys takes you out, as usual. Y'all come back now. Ya hear?

Feb 20, 2018

This is a great, long podcast full of stories as Nick and Will talk to Zac Scheinbaum in the last of the NY trip podcasts. Zac has released a book featuring the talents of Grime and Chris O'Donnell. Unfortunately sold out at this time, if you can find it anywhere you should definitely check it out.

Porter and Andrew join up for the Shop Talk, too, of course!

Feb 13, 2018

This one was a real treat for Nick, and in turn all of you bullshitters, as Nick sits down with Chris Grosso on his New York trip. Chris is an executive producer over at VICE where he's worked on amzing shows from Epicly Later'd to Munchies. So much awesome stuff that if you haven't heard of, you need to.

They talk tons of tattoos as well, but as usual you'll also get your Shop Talk fix if you stick around. Enjoy!

Feb 6, 2018

Another episode from Nick's trip up to Kings Ave. in NY city. Justin Weatherholz sits down with Nick to share stories both current and old.

Jan 30, 2018

Nick heads up to New York and visits Kings Ave. Tattoo for the first of four great episodes he recorded there. And, of course, the first is a great conversation with none other than Mr. Mike Rubendall.

Lots of great bullshit in this one. Will Lollie joins in every now and then and the great Steve-O is hangin' out too. It's a fun one. There's an excellent Shop Talk, too!

Jan 23, 2018

Blake has been gettin' tattooed at Alley Cat and playing music around Harrisonburg for as long as Nick can remember. He brings his guitar by and has a drink or two with Nick and the stories are wild and the songs are loose and loud.

Just a straight up fun episode and a great Shop Talk. Enjoy, y'all.
