Thirty episodes ago or so, Harrison Wellwood was workin' down at Spider Web Tattoo and came up to the Friendly City to chill in the No Lies studio with Nick, Porter and Andrew. Well he's been travelin' again and is workin' up in Boston these days, but once again has come to Alley Cat to have a one on one session with Nick. Lots of history and good times.
Shop Talk follows, sans Andrew, so things get a lil'... weird.
Jill Bonny is one of the only classically trained female Irezumi artists practicing traditional Japanese tattooing. She is known as Horiyuki and came all the way from her studio, Kazuko, in San Francisco to attend the Pagoda City Tattoo Festival this year and that's where Nick got a chance to hang out with Jill and bring some of her stories to you, our favorite bullshitters.
Andrew Conner joins the conversation and the stories and memories that get laid down are absolutely great. Jill's background is so interesting and surprising to those of you who don't know her yet, y'all are gonna love this one.
Stick around for the world famous Shop Talk to hear more from Nick & Andrew and a whole lotta Masta P. Yeah, that's right. Mr. Porter if ya nasty.
The second of three killer podcasts Nick got while attending the Pagoda City Tattoo Festival, this one is with Yoni Zilber and it's a story you don't want to miss.
Yoni was born in Israel and fate not only conspired to help him achieve his dream of becoming a tattoo artist, but also landed him at New York Adorned where he worked for years. These are the stories of his life along the way and they are amazing.
There's some hotel room noise to deal with, but Yoni keeps things so interesting you won't notice. Just enjoy. And hold on as Andrew and Porter join Nick for another killer Shop Talk, of course. Oh yeah.
